Just realized I've been overpaying for airport food for years
I was stuck in Denver for a 4 hour layover and bought a $16 sandwich. A guy next to me pulled a full meal out of a collapsible container he'd packed from home. It hit me that I could save $50 a trip just by bringing my own food. Anyone have good ideas for travel meals that don't need refrigeration?

That $16 sandwich is part of the airport experience for me. I'd rather spend my time relaxing than packing a whole meal to carry around. What's fifty bucks for a hassle free trip?

You know that feeling when you're so tired you'd pay for a nap? That's me with airport food. I once spent twenty bucks on a sad bag of chips and a soda because my brain was just done. My packed lunch was sitting at home on the counter. So yeah, I get the hassle-free tax. Sometimes your time and sanity are worth the stupid markup.
