Spent 4 hours trying to find a cheap way from the Rome airport to the city center

Every guide said the train was easy, but the station was closed for construction and the bus info was wrong. I finally asked a taxi driver who pointed me to a regional bus that cost 2 euros and took 45 minutes. Has anyone else had the airport transfer info be totally outdated?

Sounds like a rough start but that's just travel. Info gets old fast, especially with construction. You figured it out, that's the main thing.

Why do they never update those travel sites? It's so frustrating. You plan everything based on that info and then you're just stuck. I had the same thing happen in Lisbon last year. The bus stop had moved a mile away and no signs told you. It feels like they just don't care once the guide is published. Glad you found that driver to help.
