Update: the neighbor hotel trick I swore by stopped working

For years I booked rooms at the Holiday Inn Express next to the airport in Denver and walked over to the terminal to save $40 on parking. This past trip I tried it again and they started charging $18 a night for overnight parking, plus they towed my rental at 5 AM because I didn't register the plate. The whole thing cost me $220 in fees and three hours sorting it out at the impound lot. Anyone found a better cheap parking loop near DIA that actually holds up?

Try Pikes Peak lot, it's $8 a day and the shuttle runs every 10 minutes.
