Winged it at the airport counter for 6 years until I tried booking on a Tuesday night
I used to just show up and hope for a cheap standby seat, which cost me $340 on a last minute flight to Denver in 2019. Now I check fares on Tuesday evenings about 6 weeks out and set a price alert, which got the same route down to $118. Has anyone figured out if the Tuesday thing is real or am I just getting lucky?
