Co-worker told me I was wasting money on daily coffee runs, so I did the math

Last month my office buddy pointed out I was spending $5.50 every morning at the cafe downstairs. I got defensive at first, but then I actually added it up. Over 20 work days that came to $110 a month just on coffee. I switched to brewing my own at home using a $30 French press and some beans from Trader Joe's that cost $8 a bag. The beans last me about two weeks, so my monthly coffee cost dropped to around $16. I still grab one from the shop every Friday as a treat, but saving almost $80 a month feels pretty good. Has anyone else had a friend call them out on a small habit that ended up saving way more than you expected?

Did your coworker also do the math on how much they spend on therapy for being so nosy?

Had a friend who was spending like $12 a week on energy drinks from the gas station. His roommate pointed it out and he switched to the store brand powder mix. Now he saves enough to buy a pizza every Friday instead.
