Finally stopped the $50 weekly coffee drain
About three months back, I looked at my bank app and saw I spent over $200 on coffee and breakfast sandwiches in just one month. It was all from this cafe near my office in Denver. I decided to try making my own cold brew at home on Sundays. I got a cheap jug from Target and a bag of beans from the grocery store. The first batch was too strong, but I fixed it by adding more water. Now I make a full jug for less than $5 that lasts me all week. I put it in a thermos and bring it with me. Has anyone else found a simple switch that cut out a dumb weekly expense?

Actually, cold brew is stupid easy (just coffee and water, no heat).

You're right about it being easy, just coffee and water. The real trick is the wait. I let mine sit on the counter for a full day, not in the fridge. It seems to pull out a smoother flavor that way. Then you just strain it and you're set for the whole week.
