Had to choose between a monthly streaming sub vs. a library card upgrade
So I was spending $18 a month on a music streaming service and realized I barely used it. I decided to cancel that and put $15 into getting a premium library card that gives me access to their free digital media and audiobooks. Been three weeks now and I've already checked out 4 audiobooks and 2 ebooks, plus I can borrow movies. Has anyone else switched from a paid streaming service to library resources and seen a big savings?

Hey that's a solid swap for sure. But here's something i bet nobody's mentioned - you might be able to get a free state library card online that opens up way more digital stuff than your local one. I did that and now i've got access to like three different ebook and audiobook apps for free, including ones that have the newer movies and magazines. My local library card was good but the state one gives me hoopla and kanopy which has a ton of movies that aren't even on netflix. You could double your options without spending another dime.

Nah, I'd rather not add another login to remember.
