My aunt told me to round up every purchase to the nearest dollar in my budget app

I mean, I thought it was silly, but after six months those extra few cents per transaction added up to over $300 in my savings. Has anyone else tried a rounding trick that actually worked?

Round up every single coffee and snack purchase too. I started rounding up to the nearest FIVE dollars on any non essential buy. It sounds crazy but it forces you to see the real cost. That five dollar coffee becomes ten in the budget. You either skip it or save the extra. The mental game is what makes it work. My fun money category is way smaller now because of it.
