Pro tip: found out my grocery store marks down meat at 7am, not closing time
I always thought the yellow sticker deals hit right before close, so I'd swing by Kroger around 8pm and find nothing but sad chicken. A butcher there finally told me they do their markdowns first thing in the morning, so I tried showing up at 7am on a Saturday. Walked out with two packs of pork chops for $3.49 each and a pound of ground beef for $2.99. Now I do my big meat run before work once a week and freeze it all. Does your store have a set markdown time, or is it just whenever they get around to it?
