The library book sale changed how I grocery shop

Wait is this really changing your whole approach or just got a cookbook or two? I grabbed a vintage Betty Crocker once and made some weird jello thing that nobody ate. These sales are fun for maybe finding a random baking tip or a weird regional dish, but I wouldn't plan my weekly shopping around them. Unless you found a really specific guide to budgeting or meal prep from like 1998, I'm skeptical this is a game changer. Maybe it's more about the thrill of the hunt than actual grocery savings?

I see it differently on the "thrill of the hunt" point, because those old books taught me real tricks for making cheap ingredients stretch.
