TIL my emergency fund finally hit 5k after 2 years of putting in whatever was left over each week.
It hit me when I checked the account this morning and realized that number means I can actually cover my truck's transmission if it goes, which is a huge weight off my shoulders lol, anyone else have a specific number that made them feel secure?

Congrats on hitting that goal, it really does change how you sleep at night. Was the 5k number based on your truck repair, or did you have other bills in mind too when you picked it?
