Ditching colors from my monthly bujo layout saved time

Coloring my calendar dates took forever, so I switched to one pen. Now setup is quick. How do you simplify monthly logs?

Yeah, that "switched to one pen" idea hits home. My friend Sara had the same problem with her monthly log, wasting so much time picking colors. She finally tried using just a plain black pen and one gray marker for shading. It made her layout super fast to set up, and she found it less distracting when planning. She even said it helped her focus on actual tasks instead of making it pretty. Now she swears by keeping things minimal for all her spreads. Cutting out the extra stuff really does save time and mental energy.
