Found out my local library has a bullet journal club

I was looking for a book on hand lettering at the Cedar Rapids library last Tuesday and saw a flyer. It said they run a free meet-up every second Sunday for people who keep bullet journals. I went yesterday and there were about 15 people there, all sharing spreads and tips. I had no idea this was a thing outside of online groups. Does your town have anything like this?

Remember thinking libraries were just for quiet reading until mine started a repair cafe for small electronics. It's the same idea, turning a public space into a skill sharing spot. These clubs go way beyond just showing your work, they build actual local networks you can call on for help. I bet that bullet journal group ends up trading supplies and meeting for coffee outside the library too.

My friend in Madison tried a library craft club last year for knitting. She said the first meeting had only three people but by Christmas it was over twenty. They ended up swapping patterns and even doing a yarn exchange. It seems like libraries are really becoming community hubs for that kind of hands-on hobby group.
