My aunt said to skip the fancy spreads and just use a pencil for a month

She saw me struggling with my new journal back in January, trying to make each page perfect with pens and markers. I listened and used a basic number 2 pencil for all of March. It felt weird at first, but I messed up way less and actually kept up with my daily log. Now I'm back to using pens, but that month totally fixed my fear of the blank page. Anyone else have a simple piece of advice that really helped their bujo habit?

That's such a good idea, it really takes the pressure off lol.

That "fear of the blank page" is a real thing. I read an article that called it the "tyranny of the perfect spread," which is spot on. Starting simple, like @xena_taylor64 said, is the best way to break that pressure.
