My bullet journal collection grew out of control and I had to pick which one to keep using

For over a year I was switching between a hardcover Leuchtturm and a softcover Moleskine, trying to decide which notebook felt better for daily journaling. I ended up sticking with the Leuchtturm because the pages lay flatter when I do my weekly spreads, and the numbered pages really help me index everything. But then I realized my Moleskine worked better for my travel log since it bends easier in a bag. After three months of using both inconsistently, I finally chose the Leuchtturm for everyday and left the Moleskine for trips only. Has anyone else juggled two notebooks like this and found a way to make both work without feeling messy about it?

Commit to one notebook for daily use and keep the second one for something VERY specific like travel or collections, it stops the messy feeling. I actually do the same with a cheap spiral for work notes and my nice Leuchtturm for personal stuff.

Hang on. Let me make sure I read that right. You keep a cheap spiral for your work notes? That's the part that got me. I work a job where my notes are basically the difference between remembering which tree has a widowmaker and which one doesn't. If I grabbed a cheap spiral and it fell apart in my pocket, I'd be stuck trying to remember if that dead limb was on the oak or the maple. Respect for the system, but a cheap notebook for work sounds like a recipe for losing information you actually need.
