Pro tip: I finally got my weekly spread to actually stick using a simple grid hack
I read a blog post from a guy who said he draws his weekly layout with a 2mm grid instead of guessing, and I tried it last Sunday with a ruler. My boxes came out even for the first time ever, and I didn't waste 20 minutes erasing crooked lines. Has anyone else found a simple trick like grid spacing that just clicked for them?

Honestly I used to think grid spacing was overthinking it, but after trying it once I totally get it now. My boxes used to look like they were drawn by a toddler with a tremor.

Woah, that's a solid point but I wonder if the spacing matters less than the actual line weight you're using. Thinner lines with tight spacing can actually look worse than thick lines with uneven gaps. What kind of pen were you running when you tried it?
