Shoutout to my local art store for helping me decide between a $12 dot grid notebook and a $22 one with thicker paper.

I was setting up my new journal for the quarter and got totally stuck. The cheaper one was my usual brand, but the paper felt thin. The expensive one had that nice, heavy paper that doesn't bleed, but it was almost double the price. The clerk told me to do a pen test right there. I used my go-to mildliner and my favorite gel pen. The cheap paper showed a tiny bit of ghosting, but the ink didn't actually bleed through. I went with the cheaper one and have been using it for two weeks now. Honestly, I don't even notice the ghosting when I'm writing. Has anyone else picked a cheaper notebook and been surprised it worked just fine?

Nice, I've saved so much money doing pen tests in stores.
