Am I the only one who actually tried the psychic hotline number on a laundromat flyer?
Saw a torn paper tacked up by the dryers. Handwritten. Said call for love guidance. I was bored waiting for my jeans. Dialed it. A lady picked up and started giving me stock market tips instead of relationship advice. I learned that bulletin board finds can be scams, but at least I didn't lose more than the 5 minutes and a quarter for the call.

Bet she gave better advice than most psychics would have anyway. Stock tips probably paid off more than some vague "your soulmate is thinking about you" bull. At least you got something useful out of it.

Wait, did she sound like she was reading off a script or was she just making it up as she went? I read somewhere that some of those hotlines are actually just redirects to random call centers where people are paid to keep you talking, so maybe you got the "stock tips for love seekers" script by accident. I gotta agree with @lily511 though, at least it was more useful than hearing "your aura is cloudy" or some generic line about a tall dark stranger. Honestly, I bet a lot of those psychics are just bored folks in a cubicle making stuff up on the spot, and you got lucky with someone who happened to be looking at a ticker that day.
