Changed my mind about ignoring those 'lost cat' flyers

I was grabbing coffee at the place on 5th and saw a new flyer for a missing orange tabby named Pumpkin. Usually I just walk past, but this one had a photo of the cat sitting on a kid's lap. The owner wrote 'he's my son's best friend' and put a $50 reward. I took a picture and kept an eye out. Two days later, I spotted a cat matching the description under a dumpster behind my building. Called the number, and the kid who answered sounded so happy. Now I always stop and look at those flyers, and I've found two more pets since. Anyone else started paying attention after one lucky find?

My neighbor's dog got out last winter during a snowstorm. I saw the flyer and found him shivering in a park three blocks away. That feeling when you reunate them makes it worth the extra minute of your day.

That's such a great story, @hayden_ross82. It really does make a huge difference to just stop and help. I always try to check those lost pet posts. By the way, I think you meant "reunite" instead of "reunate," but we totally get what you mean! That moment of bringing a pet home safe is the best feeling.
