Found a flyer for a lost cat from 2019 next to a new one for a lost dog on the same board

I was at the laundromat on 5th Street and saw them pinned side by side, the cat flyer all faded and curled. I remember seeing that cat poster years ago and hoping they found it, but the new dog one just made me feel sad about how this keeps happening. Do you ever see old flyers that just stick around forever?

Wait, the cat flyer was from 2019? That's so long ago, it's crazy it's still up. @margaret_wright50 is right about the fading, it really does feel like a ghost hanging there. Seeing it next to a fresh one just hits different, like a cycle that never ends.

It's the faded ones that get me. Makes you wonder if the person ever stopped looking, or just had to give up.
