Clicked on this thread cause I had the same thought. I tried one of those "life hacks" for charging my phone near a lithium battery pack once and it got so hot I couldn't touch it, @anthony883. Nearly started a small fire in my kitchen, had to throw the whole thing outside. Eight ways sounds like you're playing roulette with your house every time you plug something in.
