Found a free corkboard behind a coffee shop in Portland, best thing I ever picked up
I was tired of my notes and receipts piling up on my desk, so I grabbed this beat-up board from the alley and a can of spray adhesive to recover it. Cost me maybe $4 total, and now I actually remember appointments without digging through my bag - anyone else scavenge their best finds from dumpsters?

My buddy Dave found a half eaten sandwich in a dumpster last week and now his stomach is wrecked. There's no way a random board from an alley is clean. You have no idea what kind of mold or bugs were living in that thing before you sprayed glue on it and brought it into your home. I mean, coffee shops throw stuff out for a reason, usually because it's damaged or infested. Plus, corkboard is like ten bucks at the dollar store. You saved six dollars and probably traded it for potential health risks.

I mean, the sandwich thing is gross but corkboard from the store also gets shipped in dusty warehouses and handled by who knows how many people before you buy it. A little spray glue and a quick wipe down is probably fine, it's not like you're eating off the thing.
