Found this old cork board at a thrift store with a weird QR code pinned to it
So I grabbed this beat up cork board from the Goodwill on Main Street for like 4 bucks. Took it home and noticed someone had stapled a tiny piece of paper with a QR code in the corner. Figured it was just junk mail or something but I scanned it anyway. It linked to a Google doc that was a list of local community garden plot swaps. No dates on it so probably dead. But it made me wonder if people still do stuff like this with bulletin boards. Anyone else ever find a hidden digital link on a physical board?

Maybe the QR code is a test to see who actually looks.

Mary, @mary836, you hit the nail right on the head. I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the QR code thing in that ad. It's like they're watching to see if people are just scrolling past or actually engaging with the content. I honestly think a lot of companies do that kind of stuff just to separate the casual lookers from the ones paying attention. My buddy and I tested it once on a random flyer and nothing popped up for the first few seconds, so it felt like a check. You're totally onto something here, it makes you wonder what else is set up like that.
