Hit 100 different flyers for lost cats in one month and its making me sad

I got curious and actually counted the ones I took down from my route last month. 100 exactly. Some are clearly old, faded and curled up, owners probably gave up. But a bunch are fresh with those plastic sleeves and staples holding tight. I started wondering if anyone ever finds their cat from these. My record is I saw one posted for 7 months once before the tape finally gave out. Anyone else notice these things pile up way more than lost dog posters?

Must be the cat distribution system working overtime but nobody's accepting the deliveries. Guess lost dogs just have better social skills or something since they actually get found and returned. Maybe cats are just too busy ignoring their owners to cooperate with the posters.

Put a lost cat poster up inside your local vet clinics and animal shelters too, not just on telephone poles... that's where most people actually check first. Make sure the photo is recent and shows any unique markings or collar details so folks can cross-reference. Offer a small reward if you can spare it, that tends to get people looking harder and calling in faster.
