That bulletin board with the lost cat flyer from 3 years ago
I was grabbing coffee at this little shop downtown and saw a bulletin board covered in layers of old flyers. One in particular caught my eye - a lost cat poster from 2022, still hanging there like the cat might just wander in. Then I noticed at least 5 other flyers on the same board that were clearly outdated, like a garage sale from last summer and a band playing at a venue that closed in January. I asked the barista about it and she said "nobody's touched that board since before I started working here" which was 18 months ago. I ended up spending 20 minutes just peeling off the dead ones with my pocket knife, leaving only the fresh stuff. The barista gave me a free refill for my trouble. Has anyone else run into a bulletin board that's basically a time capsule from a different era?

Lowkey those flyers are like digital footprints for people who still print things.

I read that some flyers are essentially a print version of what we used to call a dead link.
