That flyer in the coffee shop has been up since March and it bugs me

I stopped at this place on 5th Ave for a quick coffee and noticed the same lost cat flyer has faded to almost white, dated March 15th with a phone number that's been scribbled out. Do people just never take these down or is leaving them up some kind of weird memorial thing? I've seen 6 coffee shops with outdated flyers this month, how long do you all leave yours up before you pull them?
