The laundromat corkboard that rewired my morning routine

Used to just grab coffee and scroll my phone before work, but 3 weeks back I saw a faded index card on the corkboard by the dryers offering 'free blueberry muffins if you water Mrs. G's plants while she's in Florida'. I thought it was a joke, but the address was 2 blocks away and honestly the muffins were GREAT. Now I stop by that board every single Monday to see what new odd jobs or trades people post, and I even traded a house-cleaning session for a dude's old bike pump. Has anyone else found a legit gig or item through a random laundromat or cafe board, or is this just my weird luck?
