Took a photo of a bulletin board flyer for a lost cat and ended up finding it myself

I was walking through the Pearl District yesterday and saw a flyer for a missing gray tabby named 'Mochi.' The photo was a bit blurry, but I snapped a picture anyway to post here. About two blocks later, I heard a faint meowing from under a parked car. Sure enough, a gray cat was huddled there, looking scared. I pulled out my phone, checked the flyer, and it was a perfect match. I called the number, and the owner came right over. She was crying she was so happy. I guess I learned that taking a second to look at those community flyers can lead to something real. Has anyone else ever had a bulletin board find turn into a real-life rescue?

That's awesome you found Mochi! Always worth taking a picture of those flyers, you never know when you'll spot the pet. I make it a habit to really look at the photos and note the cross street on the flyer. It helps to have the number saved right in your phone in case you see something. Glad this one had a happy ending!

Not sure this needs to be a whole system, @jade639, just glance at the pic and move on.

Guess I should start looking at flyers more, unlike @paulc93 who's a total pro at this.
