Tripped over a loose poster board and it finally clicked why my flyers kept falling down
I've been putting up event posters on the corkboard at the community center for like 2 years now. Always used those little clear push pins. Last Wednesday I watched a lady staple her paper right through the cork and it sat there solid as a rock. Turns out push pins don't grip well on those cheap fiber boards. I must have lost 40 flyers to the floor by now. Anyone else have a dumb bulletin board habit they stuck with too long?

lol "sat there solid as a rock" that's exactly how my friend Sarah described it. She spent forever putting up band posters with those little clear tacks and they'd always fall off by the next day. One time she even tried double sided tape but it left this nasty residue all over the paper. Then she saw an old dude at the library just slam a staple through his stuff and it stayed up for months. She felt so dumb she told me she actually facepalmed in the middle of the aisle. Now she's a staple convert and brags about it every time we walk past a corkboard, lmao.

Yeah I gotta push back on that one a little. Tacks work fine if you push them in at the right angle, not straight down. I've had the same band posters up in my room for like three years with those clear push pins and none of them have fallen off. Staples are fine for flyers but if you ever want to take the poster down without destroying it, you're SOL. Sarah probably just needed better tacks or a corkboard that wasn't totally worn out.
