Wasted $80 on a 'vintage' coffee maker from a corkboard ad

Saw a flyer on a board at the library for an old percolator that supposedly 'works like new.' Drove 30 minutes to pick it up and it leaked all over my counter the first morning. Has anyone else fallen for one of those nostalgic appliance scams?

Those corkboard finds are always a gamble, but at least you didn't pay for a new one off the shelf.

And Caleb you're totally right, I've made that gamble too many times myself honestly. Picked up a beat-up corkboard at a yard sale once for five bucks, and after a little cleanup it's been hanging in my kitchen for years. It's funny how the cheap finds end up being the ones you actually keep around the longest.
