Why I think cork boards are overrated for pinning important stuff

I pinned my rent reminder to a cork board at home last week and the tack just crumbled the cork right off. Three layers of cork and it still can't hold a simple index card. Has anyone else switched to magnetic boards for total reliability?

Those cork boards are hit or miss honestly. A good magnetic board is way more reliable for stuff you actually need to see. Sometimes you gotta just go with what works.

I get what you mean @gracecarr, but actually magnetic boards can have their own issues too (like losing magnetism over time or not holding heavier stuff). Cork boards might not be perfect, but they're pretty solid for everyday notes and pins if you get a decent one.
