Discovered a cheap fix for my melted cheese disaster using parchment paper
I was trying to make a grilled cheese last week and the cheese leaked out everywhere, stuck to the pan so bad I spent 20 minutes scrubbing. Then my neighbor saw me complaining and said to just lay a sheet of parchment paper down before the cheese hits the pan. Tried it yesterday with a gooey cheddar melt and it slid right off, pan was clean in seconds. Anyone else got a simple trick like that that saves cleanup time?

Wait, did the cheese stick at all to the paper or did it truly slide off perfectly?

Parchment paper is a game changer, seriously. I had the exact same problem with a panini press once, cheese got everywhere and I nearly threw the whole thing out. Now I line the press with parchment and it peels right off, zero scrubbing. I also use it for baking bacon, just lay a sheet down and the grease doesn't burn onto the pan. It sounds too simple to work but it really does, no stick at all if you use a good brand. Your neighbor saved you a ton of headache, that's a solid tip right there.
