Had to choose between a new band saw or a new grinder for the shop budget

Went with the grinder because our old one was from the 90s and kept overheating. It's been a month and the edge consistency is way better. Anyone else faced a similar equipment upgrade choice recently?

Yeah, that "all bought" part is so true. It felt like a mass craze for a hot minute. What do you think made everyone suddenly decide they needed fresh bread at home, only to get sick of the mess?

Huh, yeah I still have mine sitting in the back of the pantry. What worked for me was sticking to simple white bread recipes at first, no fancy stuff. Once I got the hang of the machine, I started tossing in some dried herbs or garlic powder, that made it feel less boring and more like something I'd actually eat. Still use it maybe once a month when the store bread runs out and I don't feel like going out.
