Hit 500 whole chickens deboned this morning and my hands still hurt
I counted up my tally from this year and realized I hit 500 birds deboned just for my Saturday special alone. That number surprised me because back in March I was struggling to do 20 in a shift without mangling the thighs. Now I can knock out a chicken in about 90 seconds flat but my left hand still cramps up by the end of the day. Anyone else track how many of one cut they do over time?

@max808 500 chickens in a year is wild, congrats on surviving that left hand cramp lol. My tally would read like "20 steaks trimmed, then rage quit after dropping the third one on the floor." @sullivan.elliot sounds like they're about to start a whole new level of prep obsession, get ready for the tally notebook to take over your life.

Huh I gotta say I used to think tracking that kind of stuff was pointless or just for weirdos who like numbers too much. But seeing you hit 500 and knowing exactly how you improved from struggling with 20 to doing it in 90 seconds that actually changed my mind completely. There's something real about seeing your own progress written down like that. It's not just about the number but knowing your hands got stronger and your technique got faster even if they still cramp up at the end. Makes me want to start keeping a tally of my own prep work just to see where I'm at a year from now.
