Nearly lost a finger on the bandsaw at 7 AM Tuesday

I was trimming some pork shoulders at the shop in Tulsa and my glove snagged on a bone splinter. Pulled my hand right into the blade before I could even blink. Got a nasty gash through the glove but somehow missed the bone. Any of you guys ever had a close call that made you switch to those cut-resistant mesh gloves?

Scare yourself straight into buying a pair of those gloves after the ER visit? At least you kept the finger, sounds like you got off lucky for a Tuesday morning. What brand did you end up going with?

Ended up grabbing some Ironclad work gloves, which is ironic since I nearly got my finger caught in a literal iron clamp lol. Now I just look like I'm prepping for the apocalypse every time I open a cabinet.
