Old timer showed me a trick for saw sharpening at a swap meet
Guy named Earl at the Lancaster farmers market last Saturday walked me through fixing a dull bandsaw blade with a simple file. He said most folks overthink it, just match the tooth angle and take slow passes. Anyone else run into a random stranger who gave you advice that actually worked better than the books?

Buddy of mine ran into an old boy at a flea market who showed him how to sharpen a handsaw with a coffee can lid and some spit. He swore by it for years after that, worked better than any fancy tool he ever bought.
