Vent: My main band saw blade snapped right before the Saturday rush

It happened yesterday morning, about 10 minutes after we opened. I was breaking down a 40lb pork shoulder on the old Biro 3338 and the 1-inch blade just went with a loud pop. Had to shut down the whole station for almost an hour while I swapped it out, and the ticket line was out the door. Anyone have a go-to brand for blades that can handle a busy week? I'm tired of this happening.

Ugh, that sound is the worst. I once had a bandsaw blade snap and whip a chunk of pork fat clear across the kitchen into the dish pit. Guy thought we were throwing food at him. For a busy spot, I've had good luck with the Lennox blades from my supplier, they just seem to last a bit longer under heavy use.

My buddy's blade once threw a ribeye into the walk-in.
