Had a dumb butter robot moment with my toaster last night

I've been setting the dial to 4 every morning for toast, but it kept coming out burned. Then I noticed my butter robot meme mug was sitting on the counter blocking the vent... moved it, toasts perfectly now. Has anyone else had a simple fix like that ruin their routine for weeks?
