My butter bot edit got 40k views off a spelling mistake
Last Sunday I stayed up till 2am making a meme where the butter robot asks 'what is my purpose' and the answer is 'to spread misinformation on the internet.' I threw it together in like 10 minutes on my phone, didnt even check the text. Posted it here and someone pointed out I spelled 'purpose' as 'purpse' in the caption. Next thing I know its blowing up because people think the typo makes it funnier. I was at my desk in my apartment in Cleveland when I saw the notification count jump from 12 to 2000 in an hour. Now I'm genuinely wondering if bad edits actually get more traction than clean ones. Has anyone else seen a sloppy edit outperform the polished stuff for no real reason?
