Why does nobody talk about the butter robot meltdown when the sub hit 10k members back in March
For like 5 days straight in March every single post was gold, someone made the butter robot as a medieval monk copying memes by hand and it got 4k upvotes. Then a repost bot flooded the feed with the same 3 templates and mods went quiet for 9 days, killed all the momentum. I checked the mod list and two of them hadn't posted anything since January. Did the sub ever recover or is it just me noticing way fewer original edits lately?
Wait, TWO mods had not posted since January and nobody noticed or did anything about it? That is wild to me because a sub that size should have some kind of check on who is actually still showing up. Idk, maybe it's just me but that sounds like the real reason everything fell apart, not just the repost bots.
