That free set of drill bits from Harbor Freight snapped on the third hole, and I'm done trusting freebies
I was hanging a gate for a guy in Aurora last Tuesday and grabbed the freebie bit set that came with a $19 drill, figuring titanium coated meant something. Third hole into a 2x4, the 1/8 inch bit snapped off flush and I spent 20 minutes digging it out with a nail set. What is the cheapest drill bit set you've used that didn't fold on you, or should I just stop being cheap and buy the real stuff?

freebies" are just bait, the real stuff costs less than one snapped bit's worth of your time.
