Why does nobody talk about how cheap fuses save your expensive gear
My $400 tube amp blew a fuse last month after a power surge in Phoenix, and I swapped in a $2 fuse instead of buying a new amp. Anyone else keep a whole box of these on hand for stuff that craps out?
A $2 fuse saving a $400 amp is the best deal in all of music gear, hands down. People will drop $80 on a fancy cable but won't keep a five dollar box of fuses in their bag, then act shocked when their rig dies at a gig. Phoenix power surges don't mess around either, that desert grid cooks everything you plug in. I keep fuses for my amps, my pedals, even the random stuff at home, costs almost nothing and saves you a meltdown.
