DAE think dovetail jigs were cheating until a guy in Tulsa showed me his setup?
I always figured a hand cut dovetail was the only real way to earn your keep in this trade, so I looked down on jigs for about 8 years. Then an old timer in Tulsa let me run a set of 12 drawer boxes on his router jig and every joint was tighter than the ones I was cutting by hand. Now I'm wondering if I've just been wasting my Saturdays, so what's the real downside to jig work that I'm missing?
