Had a T-track bar clamp split right down the middle on a $4,200 job yesterday
I was clamping up a maple drawer front when the cast iron just gave way with a loud crack, and now I have to figure out if I can trust the rest of the set or if I need to replace them all before the next big order; anyone else ever had a trusted clamp fail on them like that?

That's the thing with tools, you don't realize how much you rely on them until one lets you down like that and now you're second guessing everything. Pretty soon you're testing every clamp in the shop like they're all about to betray you.

It's like when you get a good batch of something and then one piece lets go and you start eyeing everything else like it's about to snap too. Patterns like that remind me how everything has a shelf life even when it feels solid.
