PSA: Check your plywood for voids before you cut, not after
Last week I was building some kitchen cabinets for a client in Toledo, used a full sheet of birch ply that looked fine on the surface. After ripping it down, I found a void the size of a golf ball right where I needed a drawer face. Anyone else run into this and have a good way to spot voids before you start cutting?

Raising a cabinet door is just like checking a used car's Carfax - always inspect before you invest.

Oh man, @avery_walker30 that's spot on. My friend bought a whole set of shaker cabinets from a guy on Facebook Marketplace and didn't open the boxes until he got home, turns out half the doors had water damage and one was literally a different color.
