Shoutout to the historic hotel bar in Savannah for their incredible built-in cabinetry
The curved mahogany bar back had these tiny, perfect mitered corners that must have been a nightmare to fit. Has anyone worked on a similar curved piece and have tips for keeping the grain aligned?

Curved work is brutal. Did they steam bend the panels for that bar back, or were they cutting compound angles from thick stock?

It's wild how much hidden work goes into things that just look smooth and simple. You see a nice curve and never picture someone steaming wood for hours or setting up a crazy jig. Makes you wonder about the effort behind every single thing we touch, you know? We only notice the craft when it's gone, when something is just slapped together.
