Took a gamble on a used CNC vs hand tools for a big kitchen job in Austin

Ngl, I went with the CNC for a 40-door shaker kitchen and it saved my back but the setup time was brutal. Anyone else find the programming eats up more time than you expected?

Setup time always eats way more time than you expect for any tool.

Did you try breaking the setup into smaller pieces ahead of time? That helped me with @spencerw72 point, since I used to just jump in and regret it. Now I do one step the day before and it saves me a ton of headache.
