Unpopular opinion: Pre-finished plywood saved my garage storage build

Always hated the sanding and finishing mess after assembling raw plywood cabinets. Tried pre-finished sheets for some garage shelves and it cut my work time in half. The iron-on edge banding made everything look clean without any extra steps. Seriously considering this for all my future built-ins.

Totally get that time save, but the edge banding is an extra step. Takes a minute to iron on right. Still way better than sanding everything after, though.

Plus you trim the overhang and clean up the glue in like two seconds. A quick pass with a router bit or even a sharp utility knife makes it seamless. That tiny bit of work upfront beats sanding all those rough edges for an hour later.
