Got a call for a cable run in a fancy old house in Savannah last Tuesday.

The attic was full of dusty boxes, and I stepped right through the ceiling into the master bedroom. The homeowner, Mr. Jenkins, was sitting there reading a newspaper and just looked up at me like it was a normal Tuesday. I had to patch the drywall with a piece from my truck and finish the job from the crawlspace instead. What's the strangest place you've had to work from to avoid more damage?

Man, that's a classic attic surprise. Had to work from inside a client's packed garden shed once, spiders and all, just to avoid trampling their prize rose bushes. Felt like I was on a secret mission.

Been there with the weird work spots. Had a crawl space full of old insulation that felt like a horror movie set. You just hunker down and get it done, trying not to breathe in the dust. Makes for a good story later, but man, in the moment you're just counting the minutes until you can get back to fresh air.
