Got a new toner today and it won't work with my old probes

Picked up a Klein VDV500-820 toner from the supply house this morning. Got back to the jobsite in Arlington and tried to hook it up to my old Fluke probes and nothing happens. Called the shop and they said the connectors changed a few years back. Anybody else run into this problem where newer gear just doesn't click with the older stuff you already have? Wondering if I need to buy a whole new kit or if there's an adapter I'm missing.

Yeah I hear you on the connectors changing. But honestly I've been using that same Klein toner for a couple years now and it works fine with my old Fluke probes from 2018. Maybe yours are really old like from the 90s? I just checked and the Klein uses a standard RJ11 and alligator clips. The Fluke stuff I have uses the same plug. I think the shop might have told you wrong because they didn't want to deal with it. Double check that the pins inside your probe jack aren't bent or dirty. That's usually the problem not the connectors.

Dirty pins are the real culprit, shop probably just didn't want the hassle.
